Arnel Banawa: What is your Full Name, where are you from, and where do you currently live?

Deanna Blegg: Deanna Blegg. Kangaroo ground . Australia. Age 44.

Arnel Banawa: You recently earned a WELL-DESERVED 1st Female Finish at the World’s Toughest Mudder 2013, can you tell me how you felt going into this event? Were you prepared, nervous, and would you do it again?

Deanna Blegg: I did WTM 2012 so I had an  understanding what was in stall for us. This year the temperature was warmer and race format an little different. It made for a few last minute gear changes which I was thankful for. Being nervous before an event is something out of my control. It is a given. On that note I was feeling a quiet calm. I felt I was strong and fit enough to handle what was out there. I love the unknown.

Arnel Banawa: So for the record, how many laps did you finish and how many miles is that to be exact?

Deanna Blegg: I finished 17 laps.  85 miles n Its funny. The first half I was moving along fairly well. I think I was at the 50 mile 12 hours into it. I was doing the sums and thinking maybe 90 miles would be good. Time ticked by and my pace dropped.
