Never satisfied with the same old thing and always looking to advance the sport of obstacle racing Spartan Race is changing the face of the sport once again in an effort to find the worlds fittest athletes. The 2014 Spartan Race Triple Crown is the first ever championship series of obstacle racing of its kind. Racers will battle it out at 3 of 4 Spartan Race events coming this fall. The series features the worlds best obstacle racers and athletes competing for over $500,000 in prize money & awards.
Kicking off in Killington VT with the Spartan World Championship, and ending in Dallas TX with the first ever Spartan Team Championship the Triple Crown will feature athletes from 18 different countries. Athletes from as far away as Australia and Slovakia will compete against favorites like Hunter McIntyre, Cody Moat, Matt “The Bear” Novakovich, Amelia Boone and more.
***In order to be eligible racers must compete at Vermont, either South Carolina OR Sacramento, AND the TEAM Championship in Texas***
The Reebok Spartan Race Triple Crown prize purse will be awarded in Texas to the top Elite Men and Women that have the best cumulative performance over the three races.
