Umpqua Community College, in Oregon, looks to add obstacle racing as a sport to increase athletic involvement.

UCC Athletic Director Craig Jackson presented a plan to the board to increase enrollment by adding cross country, wrestling and obstacle course racing for both men and women.

The school would add a permanent course as part of the proposal.

The final sport that Jackson recommended adding was obstacle course racing. Both an obstacle course and a cross-country course would be developed.
