The Abominable Snow Race is returning to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Rather than wait for warmer weather, this race embraces the cold and puts their race on in January.
The Abominable Snow Race at Grand Geneva Resort offers racers a chance to break out of their comfort zones and perhaps find a new group of friends. The race offers the added challenge of running up a ski hill in frigid conditions. Bill Wolfe, the race’s founder, got the idea while he was running a race at a ski hill in Illinois during the summer. As he was running the then-grassy hill, he imagined winter conditions and the hill covered in snow.
