Rat Race Dirty Weekend

We’ll be releasing a training plan ahead of the big day, but the most important thing is to get those miles under your belt.
No, you must purchase a camping ticket, you can do so here all camping tickets are per person not pitch. Camping is on the opposite side of the event village from the car park. You cannot park in the campsite, be prepared to carry your gear for a 10min walk. Campervan & Caravan pitches both with and without electric hook-ups are available, each occupant will require a camping ticket.
Glamping is also available from Tangerine Fields. Find out more and book your pre-pitched tent here.
There are showers available and these will be available Saturday and Sunday.
We have 4 Water Stops out on the course. We will not offer sports nutrition as this is down to very personal choice and you should therefore plan to bring your own sports nutrition gels, powders, bars and other supplies with you. We will however offer some small snacks at various points around the course – this will be confirmed closer to the event. Rat Race Store will be present at the Start-line with a selection of user-friendly sports nutrition products for sale. Our range can also be browsed here.
We recommend good off-road running footwear. The majority of the event is off-road with some tarmac featured here and there. We recommend taking a look at our kit picks here:
Not really. You do need to consider what you wear of course and remember that you will be getting very wet and very muddy too. Fancy Dress is encouraged provided that you bear in mind the nature of the course laid out before you. Mankini’s optional.
No. Flyers are forbidden on the premises as they are litter and are contrary to our pledges given to the landowner. They are litter and charges will be levied for litter collection and advertising fees against those that distribute such items them on the event premise. Please see our terms and conditions of entry for information about the charges levied.

We will be open until midnight with a monster beer tent and a headline act on our mainstage until closing.

There is a £20 premium to run in wave 1 as this gives you the 1st uninterrupted bash at our monster course. There is a £10 premium to run in waves 2,3&4 as these are the waves that will offer you the smoothest experience at the obstacles.

Yep for sure. We like our Dirty Weekends to be a social business. There is a charge for camping, car park and after party, but no charge to enter the event area and support the runners through the day.

Dogs are allowed in the event village however they are not allowed in the campsite area.

£10/ car cash on the day.
They register at the same tent as the adults, it closes at 13:30.
You can run alongside them but you cannot tackle the obstacles with them so we don’t have adults/children on the same equipment. You will collect a race bib from registration when your Young Mucker registers to identify you as a parent/guardian.
The Young Mucker course uses some of the early zones from the full race which will be clear of adults by the time the race starts. The rest of the course is bespoke for children and is not used by people taking part in the adults race.
Your child can run a second lap of the course providing they finish their first before 3pm (1 hour after the start time).
There is a water stop at the end of lap 1 for those wishing to take on a second lap.
