4 Miles of Ocean Front Trails, 20+ Obstacles, Sea, Live Music, Old Fashion New England Clam Bake, kids race, and family fun at the most beautiful state park in New England.

The Trident Race was created out of love for OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) and helping individuals challenge themselves in a fun, positive, and dynamic atmosphere. Founder Ethan Tucker and Co-Founder Mark Rhynard have been involved with race directing and OCR events for the past 5 years. This event will be unique in every way, bringing together some of the most exciting components this sport has to offer. If you have never experienced Colt Sate Park, you will be in awe. The Historic landscape is 464 acres of lawns, wooded trails, stone walls, and curving drives along one of the state’s most spectacular shorelines, standing in contrast to one of Rhode Island’s charming, compact, historic seaports, the Town of Bristol.

The 4-mile course will take participants through the entire park with 20 obstacles adding to the challenge. The start, finish, and event epicentre will be positioned at the beautiful Bristol Town Beach for finishers to enjoy a New England Style Lobster & Steak clam boil. Partial proceeds to benefit the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department with a special donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Colt State Park

Colt State Park is awe inspiring and beautiful. We have designed a course to take you through the entire park and some of the less traveled terrains. Participants will experience trails, beach, rolling hills, historic land marks, and unforgettable scenery.

Challenging & Fun Obstacles

Our team has been working hard all winter to deliver the perfect balance of challenging and fun obstacles. Obstacles have been integrated into the course strategically to ensure proper flow and no bottle necks. Participants will encounter classic obstacles such as rope climbs, walls, cargo nets, and bear crawls, but also fun obstacles such as a giant slip & slide into a pond called Poseidon’s Rogue Wave.
